A Run Survey

1. How would you describe your running 10 years ago?
10 years ago, I did not run.
I didnt even walk.  I wasnt fat, but I wasnt fit either.  I had just started the job I work at now and I was only 25 so I had a somewhat higher metabolism than I do now, so exercise wasn’t really *necessary* per se.

2. What is your best/worst running experience?

my best running experience had to be after I went to the doctor and had my shin splints fixed and could run without pain
subsequently followed by each mile milestone I have passed by being able to run further and further.  My worst would definitely be when I got stress fractures in my shins when I was in training for the Army due to overused and very old running shoes that were woefully in need of being replaced.

3. Why do you run?
To see if I can, to challenge myself, to get in better shape, to burn calories.
Also, because its fun and I love it.
4. What is the best or worst piece of running advice that you've been given about running?
some of the best advice I’ve gotten concerning running includes to buy quality shoes from a reputable shop that does a thorough fitting with you and ensures that the shoes you’re buying are the shoes that are right for you.
also, recently I got some advice to make sure I don’t forget to schedule “easy” run days to offset the longer runs I’m starting to do.

5. Tell us something surprising about yourself that not many people would know.
that I’ve been pining over wanting to run for YEARS now.
For the past couple/few years, theres nothing Ive wanted more than to run on a regular basis.
