Today was my weigh in day again. Like last week I had a feeling that I had lost between a pound and a pound and a half. Guess what. I lost 1.2 pounds! Woohoo! I’m now down to 174 lbs and 21.8% body fat. I had a long term goal of getting to 22% or less and I have now reached that goal. The only long term goal I have yet to accomplish is to run the obstacle course that I have to run once a year for work in 2:05 minutes. Last year, I ran it in 2:23 and finished feeling like I could have pushed myself a little harder and finished in, tops, 2:15. My actual, “official” goal for the obstacle course is 2:15, but I really think I can do it in the 2:05 I’m hoping for.
Well, today I’m going to the new gym (24 hour fitness) and am going to do the boot camp class! So excited! I’m nervous because I haven’t taken a group class since I was at 24 hour fitness a couple years ago. I don’t want to look like a fool. I won’t, but I’m still nervous that I will. I know I’ll be able to keep up with the class. I’m strong and I have stamina. I can do it.
After the gym, it’s off to get my nails done, then home to shower and chill for a couple hours until it’s time to head out for my sushi plans with the people from work. I have been waiting allllllll week for my sushi plans. I was at the grocery store the other day and passed by the sushi counter and almost stopped and grabbed a roll, but then I reminded myself that I was going for “real” sushi today and that I could hold out. And I did.
Oh! Yesterday was a little celebration for a couple people at work who are transferring to different shifts. There was a big sheet cake, a cheesecake and a round chocolate cake. I had found out about the cake being there the day before and had told myself I could have one small piece. I stuck to my plan and had a small 1½ inch square piece. I did add a small piece of the cheesecake to my plate, but that was it. The cake was good, but it was on the border of being too much. The sugar was making me kind of pucker up because it was sooooo sweet. I also definitely felt completely satisfied with the amount of cake I had and wasn’t tempted to go back for seconds. I felt full the rest of the day too, which helped squelch any temptations for seconds.
