The Weekly Weigh In

Sorry for this being a day late, but yesterday was very busy and I didn't have the time seeing as how I completely overlooked working on this post as the week went on like I normally do and had to write it from scratch and then all my photos were stuck in limbo between my old cellphone and my new cellphone so I had no photos to post with it last night, so that's why today.  So, here we go!!!

Saturday: no workout.

Sunday: ran 16 miles total.  Started running shortly after 6am, ran 10 miles, met up with the sports bra squad and ran 2.6 miles, then finished up the final 3.4 miles.  Miles 4-11 were at HMGP, miles 12 & 13 were at slightly slower than MGP.  The first 3 and last 3 miles were long, slow run pace.
Monday: no workout or run.  Had a morning FILLED with appointments!

Tuesday:  just walking.

Wednesday: just walking.

Thursday: ran 7 miles with a friend at moderate to easy paces.  He declined a runfie with me though.  Wah wah.
Friday: ran a super speedy 5k.  My Garmin data says it was only 2.97, but it’s confused because I ran the EXACT same course on July 23rd and it was exactly 3.1 miles.  I PR’ed the 5K with a time of 25:40!!!  WOOT WOOT!!!


Pretty stoked about how this week went.  I think that the paleo lifestyle does indeed agree with me and my body!  I started off on Monday, my first day of paleo, at 156.5 and today I weighed in at 151.2!  That’s a loss of 5.3 pounds in just 5 days!  I know it was water weight and that’s fine.  I’m pretty much back on the track I was on pre-pasta and Latin food weekend that happened a couple weeks ago and sort of threw me off track.  Overall for this past week, I am down 2.4 pounds for the week.  Super happy with that. 

Exercise was lacking a little this week.  I didn’t get to run or workout on Monday at all and then I was going to run 7 slow miles yesterday (Friday) morning, but slept until 10:30 instead.  Hopefully I’m able to nail my workouts next week.  I REALLY need to get in the gym and do some strength training because right now my membership is seriously wasted money.  Ugh.
